Frequently Asked Questions

What’s is an Escape Room?
Glenwood Escape is part of an exciting and unique global phenomenon of real life adventure games. Use logic, lateral thinking, and team work to tackle the tasks at hand to find clues, solve puzzles, and beat the game. You have 60 minutes, do you have what it takes to escape?

Are reservations needed?
Yes, reservations are required, and games do start at set times.  Reservations can be made online or over the phone. There may be openings for last minute reservations, so don’t hesitate to call or stop by to see what is available.

When to arrive?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your game. Due to a set schedule and time restrictions, groups that arrive late cannot be accommodated.

What is the cancellation policy?
There is a strict 24 hour cancellation policy. This is required in order to facilitate other guests.  Once a booking is confirmed, any cancellations, decreases in the number of players, or rescheduling made within 24 hours will incur the full cost.

What age groups are allowed?
All ages are welcome.  In our experience ages 10 and above can usually follow and enjoy the puzzles but this can differ from person to person.  We highly recommend that all groups include a couple of adults to help younger participants stay on task.

Can players see the rooms before they play?
No, this would defeat the purpose of the game and take away the element of mystery and surprise.

Who plays Escape Rooms?
Escape Rooms are a unique outing for Families, Friends, Bachelor & Bachelorette nights, Birthday Parties, Tourists, Date Nights, Pre-Dinner Activity, Christmas and Holiday Celebrations, Corporate Team Building, and many others. We also welcome teachers and students for an interesting class outing.

Is it scary?
For two of our games, here is nothing scary about them, they are fun and mysterious.  However, the Serial Doctor room is a little creepy and isn't recommended for kids 12 and under, we have rated it PG-13.

What to wear?
The games are non physical, but comfortable clothing and flat shoes are recommended.

What about claustrophobics?
There are no small or tight spaces inside the game rooms and the rooms can accommodate several people in one game. Participants are able to leave the game at any time, no one is actually trapped.

Wheelchair Accessible?
Yes, all of the rooms are wheelchair accessible.

Alcoholic Beverages?
Glenwood Escape has a no-alcohol or controlled substance policy. Any player displaying drunk or disorderly behavior will be asked to leave, and no refund will be issued.

what is the pricing structure?

Pricing is based on the number of participants entering the room.  Any participants that will be actively engaging and working on puzzles are charged at the same rate.

How many people can play?
Each room has a minimum of 2 people, and can accommodate up to 6 players (possibly more if you are ok with being cozy).
